Acclaimed Artists Tapped for Highly-Anticipated Paris Olympics Closing Show


PARIS (AP) - The farewell festivities for the Paris Olympic Games will feature an impressive array of musical talent. Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are all slated to take the stage as part of the handover ceremony to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Notably, each of these high-profile artists hails from the state of California. Additionally, fellow Californian singer H.E.R. is expected to deliver a live performance of the U.S. national anthem at the Stade de France as part of the closing ceremony proceedings.

The star-studded lineup underscores the excitement and anticipation surrounding the transition from the Paris Games to the next Olympiad, which will be hosted in Los Angeles. Music fans worldwide will surely be captivated by this lineup of acclaimed California-based artists concluding the Paris Olympics in style.

This will give fans a preview of what's to come when Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Games."

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics also featured high-profile musical acts, including Lady Gaga and Celine Dion's return to the stage after her diagnosis of the career-threatening condition, stiff person syndrome.

Los Angeles previously hosted the Olympic Games in 1984 and 1932, and the 2028 edition will mark the city's third time as the host. These will be the first Paralympics that Los Angeles has the honor of hosting.
