Lewandowski leads Barcelona to a hard-fought win over Bilbao
Barcelona achieved a 2-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao, on Saturday evening, in the second round of La Liga, at the Blaugrana's home stadium, the "Luis Companys Olympic Stadium".
With this victory, Barcelona raised its score to 6 points in second place in the La Liga standings, while Athletic Bilbao is in fifteenth place with only one point.
Barcelona's first response came in the 11th minute, with a shot from Ferran Torres from the edge of the penalty area, but it passed without any danger to Bilbao's goal.
Lamine Yamal managed to score Barcelona's first goal in the 24th minute, as he received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, and fired a rocket that hit Liqui's head before entering goalkeeper Badia's net.
Nico Williams tried to equalize for Bilbao, with a shot from outside the area, but it passed over Ter Stegen's goal in the 26th minute.
